Dirty words in dictionaries

When I was a kid I used to love to look up dirty words in dictionaries. As an adult, I am proud to say that I have been able to get to actually add a dirty word to a dictionary. A couple of years ago I came across the word intercrural on the Online Etymology Dictionary and had to look it up…

Before I go any further, I simply have to recommend the Online Etymology Dictionary. It is the sole work of a man called Douglas Harper, who has been working on it for over 11 years, and it explains the origins and histories of words. It is truly beautiful and a must-bookmark for any lover of words.

Anyway, I looked up intercrural on Wiktionary and couldn’t find it so I got to create my first (and so far only) dictionary definition, and here it is:

Yay words! Whatever they are.
