Not tonight

it is hard to see the stars in london most nights.
not tonight.

tonight, the sky is naked.
a giant letter L hangs in the west,
formed from jupiter, venus and a sharp full moon.
i wish you could see it.

i have cried a lot of late,
good tears,
each one like a star, bright and precious
against the dark and cold of the sky.

shuffle played this as i stared up at it:

people think its a sad song,
no.
it is a song of hope and friendship.
my life is full of both right now.

  6. I dream a lot about visiting London, about visiting all over Europe. I would like to find the similarities between Europe and the USA.

The media paints a lot of their own visuals, mostly visuals of difference.

I myself believe the USA commoners like myself have a lot more in common with the European commoners.

Some whom I have shared my interests of visiting across the pond, tells me that I would be very unwelcomed and instantly attacked.

I still would like to visit, and show we all have more in common then we all realize.

The way all of our government handles those in low income status, predjudice, beliefs, life styles, etc, as well as how the public views these catagories of populations.

I bet we can discover that we are more the same then we are different.

I believe we are all just lead to believe that we are different, by the media.

    • london is very different from most of europe – i don’t know what you have heard but americans are not unwelcome here or likely to be attacked – there is a little casual ribbing sometimes though 🙂
